It’s up, up and away with Alliance Airlines’ new flights from the Sunshine Coast to Cairns starting on July 17 on our new airport runway which opened last week.
This is a bright glimmer of the future we need to fight for as part of recovering the Sunshine Coast economy where we have been the 3rd worst hit region in Australia with job losses under COVID-19.
As a supporter of the airport’s expansion, I congratulate Council on this great achievement which I’m proud to have played a key role in helping facilitate with the gifting of State-owned land to Council to consolidate the site under an LNP State Government.
I’m also proud that as part of an LNP State Government, we signed the contracts to deliver for the Sunshine Coast a tertiary-level hospital which is now helping keep Coast residents safe and supported.
This magnificent facility and staff have done an outstanding job to be COVID ready with a ramping up of available ICU beds to respond to the pandemic and is a jewell in the crown of supporting jobs and keeping people safe.
