Queensland has the worst ambulance ramping in Australia – nothing has improved despite the State Government’s claims twelve months ago it had a plan to fix it. This can’t be blamed on Covid. To fix the problem you have to be honest about it and they have been covering up the data and wanting to operate on the way they present the data, rather than the way they present the data.
What is the Solution?
- Better resources at the front line
- Real-time data monitoring
- Better triaging in emergency departments
- Giving control back to the frontline staff
The State Government must take some real action and have a plan. Our dedicated Queensland hospital workers are doing all they can to hold together a system in crisis.
Queenslander’s have died waiting for an ambulance and the sad reality is that until something changes this will continue.
