Local Suppliers Deliver Goods
Sourcing local produce isn’t a new trend for Roz White of White’s IGA. That’s why when hand sanitiser became a hot item, Roz already had a supplier stocking her shelves, the Sunshine Coast’s very own Concept Labs. Roz said: “We’ve been able to access a lot of products because of our well-established local supply network and that’s been important to the customers to be able to still access things.” Walking through the Mt Coolum Store (Whites have 5 stores from Peregian to Baringa, employing over 100 people), there are row after row of local products. It’s clear this vibrant local business woman who also heads up Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network walks the “buy local” walk.
Roz says “It’s certainly been challenging times. Our staff have been doing an amazing job and we’ve been well supported by our local community and our local customers which we are very grateful for.”
